Okay, Now I'm Totally Jealous

What gives with the weather? I just read they are having snow flurries in Florida. What? Florida? Hey, Mr. Snow, I live in Wisconsin. Do you know where Wisconsin is? It's in the northern US just south of the Canadian border. You are supposed to send us snow in the winter. Florida is sun and warm weather, not snow country. The snowbirds flock there in winter to get away from you. I'm not a snowbird. Could you please send me some snow. Please? I promise not to complain and take lots of pretty snow pictures if you send me at least a foot, but I'll take whatever you want to send me. Could you change the forecast from cloudy to snowy and get rid of those mid-30s because it doesn't snow in the mid-30s. I appreciate that we are going to start getting cooler temps starting today, but snow would be a welcome addition to the forecast.
For a week now, I've been reading your reports of snow, while every weather system has gone around me. It's the middle of January and still, there is very little snow on the ground and only from our last storm more than a week ago and the only reason the snow isn't melted is that it's on the south side of the street. I'm on the north side, so the sun melted everything away as soon as it got warm enough.
Enjoy this song about winter - Snow Miser/Heat Miser
The Snow Miser and Heat Miser song from the 1974 Christmas TV special, The Year Without A Santa Claus.

Are you sad because Frosty the Snowman isn't vacationing in Wisconsin?

@DianneN It snowed all night and it wasn't supposed to. Predictor showed the snow line just south of Green Bay. We didn't get a lot more, but the plows are out keeping the streets clear. The sun is out now, so it stopped in the last hour. Yes, I'm very happy.

@just4him It would had made local news even here. The last snowfall was about 3 or 4 years ago according to records in Jacksonville which was an ocean effect storm. We did have a bad Ice storm acouple of years ago which caused the state to buy snow plows to station mid way in the panhandle for future snow events so it don't shut down the highways again or a couple of days.

I have not seen a weather forecast about snow in Florida, I need to watch it. I am in central Alabama and no snow for here, its around 50 - 55 degrees each day with rain and 61 degrees for Saturday.
Must be some freak storm.

It was a myLotter who reported it for their area of Florida.
I'm glad you're not getting snow.

You are living in the right place if you love the cold. Yes, even in the Tampa area it got down to 32 a couple of times while I was there but only for a day or two and only for an hour or two each day, not the whole day. But it's rare as far south as I was. It happens more frequently in the northern part. Now that I am back in Snow Country, I am longing for warmth outside!

@just4him Well it will be awhile but It's not like it was when I was living in Michigan (years ago) where it was unrelenting cold for many months. Here the weather is milder and we have the occasional warm day even during February. But next month will be Spring and hopefully an early one.
