Do you like it? Do you hate it? Are you somewhere in the middle? Most are against it. But some think it is only a smoke screen to distract us from what is really going on. What do you think about THE Shutdown ? Will The government shutdown ever end? From The Washington Post online - (Quote: "Trump administration recalls tens of thousands of federal workers as it seeks to blunt shutdown’s impact - End Quote.) Read this article that is only 4 hours old as of 9:36 PM Central Time, January 15, 2019 dot dot dot ...
The agency will not be performing audits, according to the Treasury Department's plan.

As long as it does not interfere with my life but I do hate what it is doing to all the people involved.

It unfortunately will hurt lots of us. I can't see anything good coming out of it, except to push the Mueller Investigation to a head.

The whole thing is utterly ridiculous and highlights a need for systemic reformation. It shouldn't be possible for the government to shut down and leave thousands of people scrambling with their livelihoods in jeopardy just because someone didn't get exactly what they wanted.

@lookatdesktop It's downright terroristic is what it is. American citizens are suffering because the Toddler-in-Chief didn't get his way and is throwing a tantrum. It affects the constituents, not the legislators. Fund the wall and it ends. Meanwhile, lasting damage is being done to our cities and national parks, people are at risk of losing their homes and vehicles, unable to put food on the table and... this BS happens. Is this the new state dinner standard? We need some damn good candidates to come forward in the next election cycle. Get this buffoon out of office before he drives the country into the ground like he did to so many of his companies. His voter base need to wake up and realize they've been conned by this two-bit grifter.

@yukimori , I read recently that someone said to this effect. "I would more likely choose a person walking out of a rail station to run for office." - nor exactly but you get my point.

I firmly agree. It is more like a SHAKEDOWN than anything.

That is what they think. They think that the common person on the streets of America has nothing to say but here we are, right here, right now, sharing this discussion on myLot and with Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. That is a start.

Have you seen the comic featuring Trump being presented with an 'invisible' electrified wall? That better be the only wall he gets.

Of course. I find this situation the stuff of Mad Magazine or perhaps The 3 Stooges or some insane dream we can't wake up from.

At least we can voice our support for reopening the US Government so that 800,000 American Government Workers or more, can go back to work ASAP.

Yes, that is a significant factor and the longer the wait, the more powerful the hate. On both sides. IMO.
