Which type of music do you like?

I have started listening to Spanish music, because I am trying to learn the language. I have been listening to songs by Juanes and Mana. I still don't understand everything, but at least I understand some of it

@Porcospino I like their rhythm and makes me play, but I do not understand anything.

@Nevena83 I understand some of it, but I wouldn't able to translate the songs properly I am trying to learn Spanish and that is one of the reasons why I like to listen to them.

You are right about that. I really love music. I used to play the piano and the keyboard, now I mostly listen to other people's music. I am trying to learn Spanish at the moment, so I have been listening to some Spanish songs on YouTube. I am still a beginner, but I understand part of the Spanish lyrics. I am using to Duolingo to improve my Spanish and I am still working on my vocabulary. Yes, I know that some Italian singers also sing in Spanish for instanse Nek or Valeria Rossi. I love Italian music. I have lived in Italy and got to know many Italian singers while I lived there. My favorite genres are pop and rock. I like older music the most especially music from the 80s or the early 90s.

@jvicentevalera There are so many great songs from those decades. I don't know that song by Nek, I will try to find it on YouTube. One of his other songs exists in both Italian and Spanish. It is called: "Laura non c'é"/"Laura non esta" One of my Italian friends introduced me to that song. I am just studying Spanish because I think it interesting to learn a new language. I studied French at school, but I always wanted to learn Spanish as well. I thought about taking an offline Spanish class, but it is cheaper to do it online.

@Porcospino Holy crap! I have heard it before, I had no clue that it was by Nek. I heard that song at night clubs when I used to party. I danced to that song before, well the Spanish version. It's so catchy! Regarding your Spanish class I am happy to hear that, looks like you enjoy learning it, it's way easier to learn something when you feel related to it. Same happens to me when it comes to learning English.

Do you have any favorite bands or singers? I listen to many different kinds of music, but I prefer older music like music from the 80s or the early 90s.

@eliza_godinez12 There were many great songs from those decades. I sometimes listen to new music as well, but I don't like it as much as the music from the 80s.

@Porcospino I don’t have favorite bands or singers. Same with you, I like 80s and 90s songs. I find it more interesting and has beautiful lyrics than new songs I have heard.

I once listened to some Hebrew songs on YouTube. Some of the songs were very beautiful, but I don't know the name of the singers because I can't read the names. Which music genres do you like?

@Porcospino I am glad you enjoyed listening to the Hebrew songs. I love them and I also love folk, rock and jazz.

That sounds like me. I love to listen to many different types of music especially older music. I use YouTube a lot, it is great place to find many different kinds of music from around the world.

@Courage7 Me too. I can spend hours there. I often listen to music while I am on myLot or doing other things online.

Welcome to myLot, I can see this is your first response My husband listens to country music and he has introduced me to some of his favorite songs. Which country singers do you like?

@Nankuhh2001 I didn't know any of them, but I found some songs by Tanya Tucker on YouTube. I liked them. I mostly listen to pop and rock, but I am interested in getting to know other music genres.

@Porcospino I listen to Gretchen Wilson Luke Bryan Tanya tucker, and a lot of others I listen to country music when I need to relax because it is just amazing

I remember that song I am listening to it right now while I am writing this. It reminds me of a Danish love song where the singer mixes Danish and Italian words. She is called Lone Kellermann and it was her biggest hit, but of course you can't compare her to Dean Martin.

I know Joan Baez, I listened to some of the music on YouTube. I don't know John Prine. I will try to find some of his music.

I don't know Filipino songs at all. Do you have a favorite singer or band from the Philippines?
