Common sense

What age do people start to develop common sense? My 12 year old Stepson has no common sense. I dont know if my expectations are too high? I know hes not able to think like an adult but there are some things that i feel like he should know at his age. Is it possible that technology impairs a childs ability to think clearly? Has anyone else had this problem with a child?

I absolutely know how you feel. I have a son at age 16 and I am very disappointed with his thinking. He just does not think he should, he does not know some basic things about life, he does not know how to react ... And I am the culprit because of it, because I allowed him to use the phone, which now does not let go.

Thank you for your reassurance. His father and i dont want him developing an addiction to technology at his age but i feel like its a never ending battle since technology is here to stay. Im just thankful i grew up without technology, i feel like kids these days are missing out on life and their priorities are all wrong

@PrincessREL You're right, kids miss life because of technology. They stopped enjoying themselves, walking, laughing ...
