Chick Fil A who due to their religious beliefs closes their stores on Sunday. However since Elijah Sprague who is the adopted son of Rene Sprague who adopted Elijah when he was six months of age was able to convince her brother who is one of the managers of the store in Mobile Alabama to open the store so Elijah who has cerebral palsy and is autistic since he was born prematurely 18 weeks. Rene who was a nurse at the NICU unit at the time decided to adopt Elijah since she feels that even though Elijah was not expected to live past one year, Rene feels that her son is a very special child. Elijah had the time of his life celebrating his 14th birthday with many of his closest friends having a great time in the Chick Fil A restaurant in Mobile Alabama. Elijah has this dream of working at a Chick Fil A restaurant when he reaches adulthood. Rene believes that every child despite their shortcomings due to illness are very warm children.

My sister adopted a child several years ago. The story is from a family in Mobile Alabama that adopted a child with special needs that was able to celebrate his birthday at Chick Fil A on Sunday when they are normally closed.
