Tricky driving and walking out there this morning

Because of the wet weather we had yesterday all the roads and sidewalks are covered in black ice. There are a lot of accidents this morning. Lots of cars off the road. You have to be very careful walking on the sidewalks everything is covered in a thin layer of ice. I am glad to be at work and I have no intentions on going out again until it is time to go home. Hopefully by thing the conditions will have improved.

Be safe and don't slip and fall.
We're supposed to get some of that nasty stuff tonight but right now it's fairly mild and the sun is shining. Doesn't even feel like snow out there.

@Happy2BeMe I see by the news that from Ontario and east to all of the maritime provinces, we'll be getting a big snow storm this weekend. We are only going to be on the outer edges of it.

I always hated when ice was on the streets and sidewalks. It was so hard to walk and hard to drive on that stuff.

it is when you can't see it. The ice blends in with the surface and it all looks the same.

Black ice? How come it is black? Anyway, same here. It snowed a bit last night and the road is quite slippery this morning. I just checked the weather forecast . . and Calgary will have sunny and above zero (pus 5 and 8) days starting tomorrow till next Saturday - - 8 days in a row - - Yehey!

Ick. I don't like to hear "layer of ice" unless someone got tongue tied while trying to say "layer of icing on the cake." Be safe!
