After a huge debate with the manager he finally gets my side He hired this lazy child who does nothing and then he claims 4 shifts in he can't work Sunday night's as he works another job. Sorry, you didn't state this when hired . The to her kid was hired in October and claims he has school in the morning (mondays). Well I've changed my schedule enough and take shifts. Why should I then take Friday off and work Sunday. I told him this is fine until March when I petsit then I have to juggle petsitting. Usually I come in later as last summer was the same. So I said if they can't work that's fine cut their hours and hire someone else. So I had an interview yesterday and girl seems decent /willing. So she gets the afternoons and the other 2 idiots get to split 2 shifts so each get 1 shift a week or they can do say 1 weekend then get the next off. I don't reward bad employees and I'm not switchinf/stressing my schedule out for them.

You have to deal with enough. If they're not willing to work, you shouldn't have to pay for their laziness. It's not fair to you.

Agree if I took Friday off then came in later Sunday it's not worth 45 minutes here then home for 4 or 5 hour shift.

Yeah, Ms almost-manager, you keep the place running, so the schedule should benefit YOU!

This doesn't sound like a very happy work environment.

He hired these two on desperation. I take and switch shifts constantly yet he keeps catering to them. So I went ahead and hired someone else.

That appears to be a lot of confusion at the work place
