My wife and I decided not to use our phones two days every week, mainly the weekend days. Last weekend was our first try and it was actually interesting . Since I use my phone for mylotting too, I'm not able to be here during this period. But this is a good thing because we became addicted to our phones, we need some "us" time too . Dunno if it will work, but it's worth a shot .

That is great. Far to many people spend more time on their phones then they do actually talking and spending time with their spouses. I think it will be a wonderful idea, everybody needs "us" time.

We thought so too. We need real comunication and keeping our eyes glued to the phone is not helping. Now I'm on the bus, I'm going to take back my car (some repairs were needed). This means I have two hours to spend on the phone. Decided to go for Mylot .

We spend time together, but we need some quality time, sometimes the little things are very important. Mobiles became an addiction nowadays .

What about incoming calls. Have you switched off your phones totally?

Not totally, the calls are ok. We decided to avoid Facebook, YouTube and WhatsApp, mainly no internet, we wanted to spend more time together (for real). Today is the second day of this week, but right now I'm on a two hours bus trip. Time for some mylotting .

I would win big time if this were a contest! I can go for months without my cell phone,. I have a landline phone at home which I hardly use, either. Letters written by hand and E-Mails are my means of communication.

Nice . Even if my laptop is ok, I almost never use it, everything I do, I do it on my phone. Mylotting included .

@CarolDM thank you, the same to you. We won't go anywhere today, there's a warning for ice on the roads. We'll stay home and bake some cakes .

That is a great thing you can do for each other. I am already tired up with the busy time on my hubby on phone. He is too busy with calls actually.

At least we try. Today should be the second no phone day of this week, but now I'm on a bus for a two hours trip and my wife is at home with our son. So, I'm mylotting a little .

Exactly. Right now my wife and son are sleeping, outside it's raining and I have two options: TV or my phone. Or reading a book. I'm not in the mood for TV and I read most of the books that I have. Mylot it is! (I use my phone for mylotting ).

@Kasjnak what is nice with mylotting using the mobile is that it is so handy. you can be lying in bed while you myLot and just stop when sleepiness sets in.

@SIMPLYD yup. You could do it from a laptop, but the phone is easier to manage. I barely use my laptop, maybe once every month .

I have a brand new laptop and I never use it. Almost . Not enough time for it, using my phone is simpler. And if I try to open the laptop, my son is all over the keyboard, so it would be a real challenge to post anything .

That is a good idea. It's important to spend quality time with your wife. I only use my phone for phone calls and texting family and close friends. Good luck!

I think it is a very good idea but then I would because I don't have a mobile phone. Hopefully you won't miss anything important just doing it a couple of days a week.

We still use them for calls, and the idea was to forget about them when we are together. Now I'm on the bus and she's at home, we have no restrictions for these situations . Don't think we'll miss anything, if there is something we must know, people call us .

Sometimes not having a phone is a good thing! We started a rule not having phones by our bed, just to avoid the checking phones late at night. That has really helped
