Boy did we get a good deal on a Boston Butt Pork Roast. It is just over 6 lbs. and we got it for $7.83. I couldn't believe it. It is sitting in the pot merrily bubbling in onion soup and boy does it smell good. In a bit I will be adding a bunch of baby carrots, a white onion, a couple of stalks of celery, and some red skink potatoes. I think we will be eating it for the next couple of days. Maybe I will make BBQ pork sandwiches on French rolls with Cole slaw on the side tomorrow night. The next night we could have cold pork sandwiches with lettuce and tomato. Even as we speak I can catch a whiff of that delicious roast. I can't wait for dinner. What's for dinner in you house tonight?

@porwest I use onion soup mix for so many things. I also have a salt restriction but I only have dinners with the onion soup mix in it occasionally.

Onion soup makes anything delicious. I use it less these days @Marilynda1225 just because of my salt restriction. But even just adding a packet of onion soup mix to some meat in the crock pot, or a meatloaf is DELISH!

I am not a huge fan of pork roast, but you did get it for a good price, I hope that its a nice cut. We are having chicken and dumplings for supper tonight.
