I just came upon a video showing a lady' story about being scammed. This is a good warning for us to be vigilant. Free clipart by Pixabay

How awful for her. She acted out of fear. Sadly there will always be scams because somebody will always fall for them no matter how many warnings.

@marlina it happens a lot. My oldest sister got scammed but only for $500 but still enough.

Oh boy, you were quick checking this short video. Yes, it does sound awful and very scary. We must be vigilant all the time.

Oh my goodness, I have read her story, this is scary. I never reply to numbers that I do not know, I search first if they have been already flagged as "spam callers". I think that we should never give details by phone. We know how to contact the local authorities, hang up and call.

How sad. I don't answer the phone unless I know who the caller is. If they leave a message I may call them back but I have learned to monitor my calls.

There are so many scams out there, all of them seem so nice and caring while the whole time they're simply trying to deprive you of your funds.

I don't usually answer numbers I don't know, and for some reason scam calls now come up as scam likely on my phone, so I thankfully never have to deal with them.
