How much longer?

The government shutdown baffles me! There are families going without food, not being able to pay bills. It amazes me how our president doesn't really have a care in the world! Of course not with more than a billion dollars he sleeps well at night I'm sure! Someone please tell me what good is this doing any of America? So many people are being negatively impacted by this! I hope this ends soon!

I'm sure it's hard living temporarily without a pay check, although they will get reimbursed. The Democrats are the ones responsible for this. They won't pay for protection along our borders, but they have borders around their own homes and body guards for themselves and their families. They want to be protected from criminals, but don't care about the rest of Americans who can't afford all those personal protections. The fact that President Trump isn't backing down shows he does care about the rest of us.

While I agree with some of your points, he's causing more pain then he is making progress! My mother is a state worker and had the chance to change to the federal cabinet of her job and she chose to stay state! She's a diabetic with numerous other health problems and already pays outta pocket for most of her medications. Imagine if she was federal she wouldn't be able to pay for those medications or have the money to pay her mortgage! This is hurting lot of people not just the low income families that already struggle but middle class who if they are behind one payment results in loss of many things! Imagine not being able to pay an 800 mortgage and having to come up with $1600 without receiving a paycheck! While I see his determination into giving us better security, he does not have Americans in his best interest right now! My mother could die without her medicine imagine all the other people that have federal working family members having to go without right now! It's a sad time right now

I have no interest in joining the conversation on who is responsible. However, I wanted to jump in and say that not everyone is going to be reimbursed. At least not at this point.

I do not have a good opinion of the government of America, but I hope that people in America will live better.
