I am close to my Father.

Yes, I was my Father's favorite because I am the only daughter. He always buys me most of the things I need and like for school. Sometimes he fetches me from school and he treats me to snack. Also, he likes me because I know how to keep a secret. It stopped when Father accused of murder and was in jail for almost 7 years. He was granted parole because of his behavior inside. He lives with my Mother when I got sick, I was so happy because Father always takes cares of me. But later on decided to leave because of my Mother's bad attitude. We seldom see each other but we communicate. He calls me and asks if I'm okay. I can talk to him about my problems and sickness and he will give my fair bits of advice. Are you close to your Father? The photo I took from Facebook.

Nope.. I am not close to my father because I didn't grow up with him. Actually, he left the country when I was a newborn baby and he just comes home every year for a vacation. He spends about 30 to 45 days here then goes back. He just came home for good a few years ago. I am not close to him but I am also trying. When I go out, I ask him what he wants as pasalubong or sometimes he tells me before I ask. =)

@JustBhem As you don't get on with your mother, is it possible for you to go and live with your father?

I love him. He love me. But I don't really that close to him. Because I didn't really like him sometimes. I feel like he act funny and say strange things so I don't feel comfortable talking with him. I am more close with my mom. She is my world.

@JustBhem of course. We are fine. But sometimes I make him angry with my attitude. It just that I don't really understand what's he's thinking sometimes. And I feel like he's old fashioned and a bit weird.

That’s so nice that you are so close with your father. I was, too, and miss him so much and also was very close to my wonderful mother. I was the only girl, too.

@Lucky15 I see, my Father was strict too. I remember he does not want me to play outside because it is not right for a girl like me to play a boy's game.

I must say, that photo is not accurate. As fathers are actually, for alot of females, the first male to break their heart. I don't know my "father", as he abused my mom when I was around 1.5 years old - so she left him, and I was too young then to remember much about him from the few visits we had with him before he was in and out of jail - until I was around 18.

Looks like you have a true love for your father. That makes God smile. In my case I love my dad, I will always respect him and my hand will be always for him. He is somebody I would totally trust in. However I have to say I am more closed to my mom. I mean I don't know why but mom means the universe to me.

That's great to know you are much closer to your Mother. I don't have a special bond with my Mother, I mean before I use to be close to my Mother when I didn't know about what she did before. When I was 16 yrs old, she gave me away because she does not want me to meddle on her business. She always goes out at night and leave us with someone who looks after us while she was out and drunk.

@JustBhem I am so sorry to hear that. Moms all over the world should take care of their children and treat them with respect and love. However you have your father and he seems to take care of you as you deserve. I hope your mom treats you better, and ask you to forgive her for all her past mistakes.
