Our part of the world has very very hot summers . The respite comes from heavy rains in between hot days. Both types of weather are not suitable for flowers.
So we look forward to the mild winters. Its the time for season flowers .Now the gardens are a blaze of colour .
The above photo is a wedding venue. The bride's mother is an ardent gardener. She worked hard to get the garden to look it's best for the wedding.The different hues in the garden complements the dresses of the wedding guests decked out in a variety of colours.

He he...Once it gets warm these flowers will move west to your lands and our gardens will have only one colour green....grass that becomes overgrown soon

Yes, it is. This friend is an avid gardener. Of course the soil and weather are very suitable at this time of the year. As we go into summer , gardens will need to be trimmed to keep overgrowth at bay ...And the snakes

Unfortunately it is not that plant friendly where I am @responsiveme but I am attempting to build short walls of maybe 3 feet to try to create a shady area for some of the vines I am hoping to try to grow.

No, there are weddings throughout the year except for a couple of months that are considered inauspicious.
The Indian calendar beginning from April to April lists the dates for weddings for the whole year, people choose what is convenient for them.
