Do you think that maintaining an aquarium is a difficult task?

I am writing this post because I am thinking of having an aquarium in the near future. I always wanted an aquarium but my mom never allowed me to, saying it is difficult to maintain it. You need to clean it regularly and do other important stuff. I love to see the colorful fishes swimming and enjoying but I think, I may not have time to look after them,
How many of you have aquarium? How many of you think that maintaining an aquarium is a difficult task?

We had it for many years but when we shifted here we could not find a proper shop. Maintaining it is quite cumbersome

@Sheali It was fun really specially when guppies multiplied. They multiply fast and easy to maintain You can start with guppies and then slowly go for other fish

depends on the fish and depends on your filter. If you use a negative ions filter not only you wont need to change water again, only add some since it will evaporate..... The fish will be bigger.

@Sheali I've never had an aquarium before but I'm pretty sure it takes a lot of effort on keeping it clean. Not to mention looking after whatever fish you have swimming around inside it.
But if you love fish enough and love the idea of having a big aquarium, then being committed to keeping it clean will be no biggie.

I think it is hard to maintain an aquarium ; I haven't tried it.
