Long before the advent of popular food chains like McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's among others in our country we already have Siopao. It's dough is made of flour and stuffed with meat balls, some pork roast with slice of boiled eggs. Originally they are steamed but lately some have them baked. But I prefer the steamed siopao.
This is one influence of the Chinese in our Culture and now is already part of our most liked foods. Siopao has been a favorite long before burger, fries and pizza invaded my palate.
In celebration of the Chinese New Year what Influence does their culture have on you? Have you tried eating siopao?

@florelway I have had steamed dumplings here, which are basically the same, I guess. They are delicious, but those in China were the best I've ever had.

@DianneN I have never been to China but I would suppose they're as good as what we have here in Phil. Those sold in supermarkets may not be as good I agree with you.

Chowking siopao is also good but I suggest if you can go to Binondo or some Chinese Old Restaurants that are still operating you can tell the difference.
