12th week of conflict in France. The French people rose up and manifested against the government of Macron. Once again, law enforcement is called, not to protect, but to strike demonstrators. The live here : This video is filmed by an independent journalist. French television channels relay limited information and destined to degrade the protesters' image.

I don't think France has seen such turmoil on the streets since the late 60s.

The 2005 protests in the suburbs were more violent. What is different here is the violence of the police, maybe not encouraged, but not condemned by the government. Such violence had not been used since the early 1960's by the police. Macron will be reminded as the president of pulled out eyes and torn hands.

@topffer The order to shoot the population does not come from the police officer, but from the leaders. Castanere, Minister of the Interior gives this kind of order. In addition, the government is passing laws to limit the right to protest. I find that for now, protesters are rather calm, but what will happen when they really take action?

The worst situation since May 1968, very bad. I am sorry for what it's going on in your country.

@LadyDuck He does not want to listen to French, but he keeps despising us by insulting us, by continuing to raise taxes and lie to us.

In France too, we are sorry about this situation, but we have a government and especially a president who despises his people. Emmanuel Macron even lectured other countries for their way of governing.

We have the taxi drivers in a big conflict also trying to block motorways and big protests at the moment they are all quiet so it seems. Also we have protestors that block roads almost into the borders of France sometimes. Hope it all quietens down.

As an outsider, I do not know what is going on but feel sad that these agitations are getting prolonged. I had hoped for a breath of fresh air after young Macron took over but it seems there are major conflicts in play - siva

The problem with Macron is that he managed to widen the gap between rich and poor people. I just saw a lady who says she has a job, she’s a civil servant. She has two children and can no longer feed herself properly. This is unacceptable, and even more so in the country of the Declaration of Human Rights.

@lascience Visited Paris, in fact, my first visit to Europe a couple of years ago. You should make it work, in a spirit of cooperation, as you are blessed in many ways. Most others look up to western democracies with admiration and worth emulating - siva

@Shiva49 The French have long accepted our leaders, but it seems that the people are waking up. He is gathering, and Macron does not like it when he tries to divide his people by all means.
