A Canadian cryptocurrency firm CEO dies without disclosing the password to $190 million!

Gerald Cotten, a 30-year old CEO of a Canadian cryptocurrency firm reportedly died in India, in December 2018, from complications from Crohn's disease taking with him passwords that has locked up $190 million in investor cryptocurrency. Even top security experts have not been able to unlock the encrypted password, creating a havoc amongst the investors. Online forums are being flooded with conspiracy theories, including whether he has really died at all or the whole is just a scam. Read more at:

I have seen this discussion in a certain whatsapp group and everybody has his/her view about it. Hope they manage to get the password though

@Missmwngi Yes, hope rthey are able to retrieve the password, or else it will be a big loss to the investors. Hope they were not deliberately scammed.

I read this news in coindesk, the widow does not know the passwords, even professional hackers can just do so much because some coins are in cold storage meaning it's off line
