Hobbies for moms?

February 7, 2019 12:42pm CST
I have never had time to have any time for myself. This year my children have all started school. Many other moms who work from home or are homemakers have hobbies and things they do for fun. I have never had the opportunity to figure out what I like. I want to find something to do something that is just for me. I have no idea what to do though. Please give me ideas. Have you ever been in this situation??

There are so many options. Why not look out for any community based groups where other young Mums are. Try checking out the noticeboard in your local library.

@BridgetThompson I don't know about where you love but libraries here in New Zealand are amazingplaces these days. My local library is writing two writing workshops this week.

That is great advice. I have not been to the library in many moons. Thank you

I am a stay at home mom of a home schooled teen. Make a list of what interests you that you might have put at the back burner for ages now. Find out if you are interested with gardening... weekend projects... repurposing... renovating... baking... volunteering... The list could or might go on and on. SO, I'll let you be for now. Good Luck !

It is hard for me because I have never done any type of self exploration and never got to find out what my interests are...

@BridgetThompson If I may suggest, try looking for inspirations or ideas in pinterest.com. The site has endless things that you might get to be interested in :-) You could probably write down things in the past (when you were still young, before you became a Mun) that you might want to do now that your children have started school :-)

It all depends on what skills and experience you have. If your skills are limited then the best option is probably some kind of work-from-home job

I like outdoor activities as well. Including gardening which is one of my favorites.
