Could you still be friends with your EX? / myLot

It depends on how much feelings you invested or if you loved the person. Because if you love someone so deeply, the tendency is for you to become hurt so badly. And our natural reaction is to stay away from the people who wronged or hurt us. And even if you wanted to be friends, you cant. How can you pretend to smile if you're badly hurt? Would you still stick with the person who hurt you? They say, if you're friends with your ex, then maybe, you didnt love each other from the start OR maybe you still love each other that's why you endure the pain just to be with that someone...

@florelway on my case, i had to drift away from my first love. As much as i wanted to be friends with him, i needed to stay away because i respect his present partner. I dont want cause trouble between them. Haha

well , i am still friends with my ex and i don't love him anymore . it isnt that we are close but i beleive we dont have to be enemies. I thinking embrassing the past and learning to move on include being at peace with whoever wronged you.

I think you're friends with him because you dont have feelings towards him anymore... but what if you do? Would you still be friends with him? I dont mean that you should make him as an enemy... but maybe, just stangers?

I think you need your space first and spent time with other people. Maybe when you find your set of good friends and some one who can love you better. It's better to stay away and console with yourself first.

Ahhh the friends with an ex..

If your relationship ended due to infidelity,abuse,jealousy or trust issue,remaining friends is almost impossible. For me is impossible in any case

My ex and I are friends... but only on facebook!?? We are both married now, I'm glad to see that he's happy with his family. I am happy too with mine. But for some reason, I don't know, sometimes I feel some "kirot" in my heart.?? And one more thing, we are friends in FB yes, but we don't talk to each other, he don't like talking to me I guess... but why did he accept me? ??

I’m not friends with any of my exes. To be honest, I was always the one to end a relationship and so I was the one who was the one doing the hurting. I don’t think it’s fair to them for me to stick around and be involved with them as friends.
