Snow and freezing rain today. No club ,no going out. What do I do? Yes, you got it.Bake. What do I make? Going through my shelves and came across corn meal. This is great and easy to do. That was part of my morning. I love corn bread, anyone here make corn bread

We have the same winter mess you do and I'm thinking of making a nice chicken soup in the crockpot. I do love cornbread but have never made it.

The cornbread you have cooked on your cold winter day looks cute. I do not know the snow nor its corn bread, but like almost every day our bread made with corn flour, the arepa, and I cook it myself.

Baking is not something we do here as a routine. The only time I make use of that section of my cooking range is when I bake cakes.

I made some really good corn bread yesterday and we'll have the rest of it with supper tonight. Do you have a recipe you use or a mix? My recipe calls for buttermilk in it.

@amadeo if you have a seasoned skillet then make your batter like you normaly do corn meal egg sugar milk ect. Or use jiffy mix and pour a little. Oil in your skillet put in the oven just to get hot then pour your batter in and bake ..after its out while hot run a knife around the edges and when cool.put a plate over it and flip it onto the plate i use a small iron skillett ..easier for me to handle ..
