Another incredible culinary invention from The Horse

As you know, I've been buyng sourdough bread from Trader Joe's recently. It tastes great toasted, with butter, and has become one of my staple snack foods. But I had an incredible epiphany the other day, and realized it would also taste great toasted and topped with butter, cream cheese, and lox. Of course, I was right. Man does not live by bagels alone, as the Bible says (or something like that). Sourdough bread, topped with butter, sour cream, and lox, is absolutely delicious. Of course I have patented my latest incredible invention.

@LeaPea2417 It's really good. And you can make as much (or as little) as you want.

I usually use bagels (and red onions as well). But I'm enjoying my new creation.

Oh yes. I love toasted sourdough and real butter. Good stuff. But never had it with sour cream or lox.

The tartness of the sourdough contrasts delightfully with the smoothness and richness of the lox.

Ohhh that sounds sooo good. I doubt the lox would make it to the top of the cream cheese. I must be part cat because the fish anything gets gobbled up first. As I just posted in another discussion, I made home made pound cake and frosted it with a double amount of cream cheese frosting. By the time I finished it Bill and I were too tired to have a piece. But I couldn't help myself, I cut off a small piece from the end and Bill and I had bites of the cake and frosting...it was like eating pure heaven. I plan to post a picture of the pound cake later today...watch for it. I had to make up my own cream cheese frosting recipe as my favorite one was burned in the fire. This new recipe is super and much better than my old one...well that's my opinion.
