The best part of a package holiday

I do not think we would ever pay for 5 star comforts while on our several foreign holidays which we did enjoy by joinging package tours. Every hotel we stayed in had a touch of luxury and the best part was the breakfast spread. We would not know what to choose. Several types of tea, coffee, bread, porridge, juices, eggs, cheese, butter, vegetable spreads, desserts, fruits, pancakes, syrups, jellies, honey.....................Myfavourite pancakes and maple syrup I do not think I could do justice though. as I am a small eatere.

I do not recall liquor being part of any breakfast spread that I have seen. Good for you.

@allknowing This was the only hotel where I have ever seen champagne on the breakfast buffet and I have seen a lot of them.

Some of those spreads are amazing! I always have a fresh omelette made up by the chef on group tours or order off the menu from the dining room.

That facility was there too. They cooked eggs in several ways and you just tell them how you want your eggs. I used to first go round and then decide but pancakes and maple systup would always be there.

@allknowing Most good restaurants have wonderful spreads. Some do not.

I love breakfast buffets. I always chose a hotel that has complimentary breakfast buffet.

@sofssu They take care of the nitty gritty and know where to take us. Countries are huge as you know and they pick sight seeing for us

This huge buffet looks beautiful, I always do not do justice, because I eat very little for breakfast.

@allknowing Exactly! You can only get what you eat, that is always very little for me.

I like bread, butter, juices, eggs, desserts and pancakes. But not altogether. Seriously difficult to choose the breakfast menu.
