I read this somewhere and thought I would like to share it with you on mylot. This is always my place to share my thoughts and what I like . Love is one soul residing in two bodies. I kinda liked the way it is put and as we just celebrated Valentines day I thought it would still be apt to share this here. The Bible says 'you are one flesh' about married people, which is very much what that quotes says a little differently. What are your thoughts?

That's a lovely sweet quote, and love doesn't die if one of the bodies does.

@sofssu There have been the few who were very close to me and have passed on years ago. I still feel their presence at times and they seem to tell they are also with me in another energy form - siva

first you have to put the word you want to be bold or italicized in between this bracket ] and this [ bracket. So the words "and this" would be either bold, italicized or underlined depending on what you want. Secondly, I have heard that quote before and I like it. Thirdly, that bible verse was used at mine and my ex husband's wedding. I am not religious, and I wasn't really religious when we used it, but I did like the verse and chose it.

@ScribbledAdNauseumI realized my mistake and corrected it just before I read your comment. Thanks. Yup, I liked both the quote and the verse, too. I take that seriously.

@sofssu Your welcome. I know some people are new to the html thing and didn't know about that. I like to help when I can. You take religion seriously?

I am married for a long time and have started to believe in this. By the way we have so many similar quotes which all mean the same. In our local language there is a phrase which if translated would mean exactly the same.

@suni51 Nice to her that. I agree that there are many similar saying which are very similar and yet see the state of marriages around us. Looks like most don't believe in these sayings anymore.

It is a beautiful saying. I believe I would translate it the same way. It kind of reminds me of the saying, "Two hearts that beat as one."

@jobelbojel not just for this reason.. there are so many other meanings in the bible. One is the soul connect that when you marry someone and have a physical relationship, you also connect your soul to that person.

I know the very few couples who are soulmates but it takes two hands to clap. We all need someone to share our thoughts though we may stop at some level due to our insecurity in sharing them - siva

I never thought of love 'is one soul residing in two bodies.' I get it. What about love is an emotion shared by two soul mates as one unit of two shared human bodies?
