Do you brush your dogs teeth?

Philippines

I know some of you have pets here. Recently I've learned that my dog had a rotten teeth and was removed somehow. But for days I've thought of brushing my dog's teeth and watch videos on how to make natural toothpaste but i don't have some of the ingredients here. So, I bought the one suggested by my sister in law and use a little on their teeth today. I wonder if it's necessary because most people here don't really brush their dog's teeth.

We don't brush our dog's teeth. He is usually a friendly dog, but he doesn't like to be touched around his mouth, so it wouldn't be possible to brush his teeth. Our new vet can't check his teeth either. Our old vet was able to do it.

@Letranknight2015 I guess that the vet would have to sedate our dog in some ways if he wanted to check his teeth, but I think it also depends on the vet. The first vet we had was able to handle our dog in a better way.

Hello @Porcospino I heard back in the Vet clinic that they have to put the dog to sleep to check his teeth and do their medical thing there.

We do not, for one they live 10 years on average and hard to break teeth like theirs down in that short time. We do give them dental stix and not. I do hope people remember common sense. If for breath I get if to prevent rotting of teeth they do not live long enough.

@Letranknight2015 He could have broke it on something. They do turn yellow, but not rotten, Rotten is straight black like a hobo. My last two dogs chased or ate rocks, They tried to crunch them, Sure it was not something like that?

@Letranknight2015 When I had my dog I never brushed her teeth. I never brushed my catr's teeth. The vet checks her teeth when she comes to give her her vaccainations.
