White Out

It's very white out. Well, we'd been getting rain and then snow and then rain and then snow and now we have had snow for the last eight hours or so. There has been 3-4 inches so far and it's still snowing. Coming down until there's no more room on the limbs of my tree out there and streets are white. It's in the high 20's. Supposed to be cloudy and snow off and on for the next few days. Wonder if the groundhog understand what this means. Dozens of slide offs and crashes this morning. I think it finally quit snowing.

I'm sorry there were a lot of accidents this morning because of the snow.

@celticeagle That's a lot of accidents. Was it a pile-up?

@just4him ......No. It was a combination of slide offs and collisions. Even a roll over.

So, I'm guessing after the rain it turned to ice, or did it snow before then? I know it can mean about the same thing, but for many of us we have two to three inches of ice all over the place other than the streets. Although we have our street still icy, but more areas where it's melted off finally. I've not paid attention to the groundhog for a few years now as whoever came up with that idea should be... well I don't want to be too mean and they're probably already gone off this earth. I expect spring no earlier than mid-April if we're on schedule. If it's nicer faster, great, but we usually get one more snow storm some time before the end of April, so I'm not holding my breath. But, I can pray that you don't get any more snow and definitely no more ice.

Rain could have turned to ice, yes. I hate the potential of driving with ice on the ground. We are getting more snow for the next few days. It will be good to help eliminate fires this year.

Yes, but should be good for the fires area in the spring and summer.
