So here i go again excited to share photo of my Mary's Gold. Since from the very beginning that i laid my eyes on this kind of plants most especially it's flower i told myself that this is it.! this is the flower that capture my heart. The flowers of Calendula officinalis, also known as Mary's gold or pot of marigold are a blessing to everyone that will see it's colorful beautiful flower. The first time i see this flower was 2 yrs ago infront of a big beautiful house near the road, i was in my cousin car by that time and we are traveling. One of my biggest regret that moment was for not asking my cousin to stop his car cause i wanna take atleast a photo of the flower as a souvenir. Two years had gone by and the memories of it's beauty still in my mind. I didn't know it's name but it's beautiful image had remained. January 15, 2019. I went with my friend in the mountain, where we do some mission work in the small community of tribal people. After the activity was done we were invited in the chieftain house to my surprise i see the plant that i been longing to take photo with. The chieftain had notice my facination of the plant so he said if i wanna have a mary gold plant. Now i know the beautiful flowers name Marigold, i thought to myself the name just suits its beauty. I finally had my pot of gold cause the chieftain had given me a seeds of the Marigolds together with the tips to make them grow. February 22, 2019. My Marigolds first flower is fully bloom it was lovely and my heart is filled with joy as i go to water my front yard garden. I been given 3 types of marigolds plants; i got yellow, orange single and the double. Looking forward to add another type. I also like hibiscus and rose but marigold is my first choice. What is your favorite flower plant? Do you have them in your garden?

How wonderful that it all came together for you with your favorite flowers. I love the salmon colored roses. Like you I saw it in a neighbors garden and admired it and fell in love with it. But, I got no green thumb. So I just admire flowers from afar. I buy from Lowes mostly .88 little starter plants and have them around my home, nowhere to plant them. When they die I keep the soil it comes in and feed them to my aloe and broad leaf plantain plants I've in small pots in my small bricked backyard.

Wow sound nice to me, plant on a pot will works when you got small yard to put them on. I also re-use my soil in a pot everytime a plant die i just a little bit of compost in it and it is good to plant again.

@shebullet So true, and beats buying the expensive potting soil! I enjoy the flowers when I buy them only .88 plus tax. though a bit out of my way, I get a lot of exercise when I go to Lowe's for the little starter plant.

@oahuwriter Oh that is a good thing you got free exercise when you go to the store. Yes it saves when you know how to recycle
