“Do YOU have a MEMORY like an ELEPHANT?”

I am not sure with you, guys. At this point in time, I still have a sharp mind in dealing with things in my life. Some people claimed that it is best to keep on reading things, do some word puzzles, etc. If you keep on doing this, there will be a slim chance to experience dementia.
Some of you knew that my granny is 100 years old and running to 101 this year. I must say that she has a clear mind in the past. She can still remember the exact date of her marriage with my grandpa. I had tested this claim when she asked me to retrieve her marriage certificate as needed to acquire her grant from the local government.
"How do you maintain your good memory?"
"Any changes with your mind power these past few years or at present?"

@didinedhia I am sorry to hear that. My family and I spend most of our time with her.

I can't remember things like I used to. It is quite common for the elderly to have good retention about things that happened in the past. Sometimes they are not quite so good about recalling things that happened recently. Your grandmother is doing really well.

@Hate2Iron Sometimes it can be vagued what had remembered. The thought of remembering it counts. My siblings and I were not that to open when talking about the past. It is randomly talked about since we were busy in our lives at present. In time, there will be more time to catch up.

I always do what I call train my brain. I have many photo albums and from time to time I look through them and I am able to remember the faces and the places.

I am nearing 60's but I think I still have good memory. During our 40th hi school reunion I was able to say the names of my classmates in 1 minute and I got them all correct lol, some of them I'm seeing after 40 years.

But is it true that elephants really do have a strong memory or is it just a phrase?

I have forgotten lots in the last 2 decades. Good thing about being forgetful is, I also forgot about the times I was unhappy.
