This morning when I stepped out of the house at 6:30 to walk the dog I was thrilled to see daylight! It’s been very wet and overcast the past several days so the morning walk with the dog has been a soggy slog in semidarkness. This morning the sky was already blue and the skeleton trees to the east were outlined against the first glimmers of early morning sunshine.
The mild, wet weather has encouraged the many Narcissi bulbs in my yard to grow rapidly and many of the earlier varieties are in full bloom. Daffodils are pretty common but they are special to me because they are usually the first flowers to show their faces around here.
Yesterday, before I turned in for the night, I successfully completed the project that I posted about on Saturday. I made some modifications to my pattern. I replaced the metal zipper with a nylon one that I could cut to the size I wanted and voila the project is complete.
The sun is shining and the weather forecast seems to indicate that rain will be moving in again in a day or two so I’m going to step away from the computer, put a cover over my sewing machine and go see if I can get some of the yard cleaned up while I have a chance.
I hope your Monday has gotten off to as good a start as mine has!

Thanks! I find my Monday's usually stay the course once they get going. A bad Monday stays bad, a good Monday usually stays good!

I'm jealous. Our flower beds are still buried in the snow.

They're actually pretty early this year. We don't usually see them until March.
I wish I could send them to you!

I must have missed the post about your 'project' so I'm off to find it now. Duhh! Just been there and I didn't miss it at all. My goodness, I must be getting old.
