Dinner in the mist

We were in China in 2004 and went off the beaten track. In the middle of nowhere on the banks of a river, someone had built a restaurant. We arrived early in the evening and the whole area was covered with a thick mist as if someone had started a giant smoke machine. The whole area was covered in a grey tinge and the pink tablecloths looked like they were glowing in contrast. It created a very surreal f not eerie atmosphere I tried to capture in this photo. I'd love to go back on day and see how much this has changed.

Well that is a unique concept. Does it have a lot of patrons?

We went on a weekday and there was probably twice the amount of people you see in the picture. I am guessing that in summer the business is better as well as on weekends, but I'm guessing

Yes we stopped to eat. It's not in the picture but they had a huge building on the side they turned into an aquarium, it was full of sea creatures, all on the menu.

@hereandthere Yes we did. Nothing too exotic. They had things like seahorses and turtles, we just had fish and a lobster.

Seems quite picturesque to me. I liked China quite a lot.

And that mist reaches South Korea actually and they hate it.
