NYC would have to be high on my all time favorite cities. I think it was that sense of familiarity that comes from growing up in diets of American television like Welcome Back Kotter, the Odd Couple, the Cosby show, Seinfeld, Law and Order etc. Every where you go looks familiar even though you know you have never been there before. This photo is from my last visit to the US around 9 years ago. After complaining about not getting the room I asked for, I was fortunate enough to be upgraded. This was the view from my room. I sat up all night waiting for Spiderman to go swinging between the buildings, but it did not happen.

@CoachME I LOVE that photo! I've always wanted to go to New York City. Funny enough I'm watching Seinfeld right now lol and I was watching The Odd Couple last week over and over. With Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon. Love that movie so much! Trying to get my hands on the second movie to watch again! I'm glad you got to explore New York. Sorry you couldn't see Spiderman lol

Seinfeld is timeless lol. My kids who were just born when Seinfeld came onto the scene are fans. My son was in a school play which was a copy of the "No soup for you" Episode". The Odd Couple series is also good with Tony Randall and Jack Klugman. I remember as a kid watching it 7pm on school days followed by The Mary Tyler.....Never mind, I'm showing my age :D

@CoachME That is so cool that your son was in that school play. That was a great episode. They all were actually. The show was just great and I love watching the bloopers from it. I think I had only seen one episode of the Odd Couple. I wouldn't mind trying to find that too to watch it. haha and no worries! I love when people reminisce about what they used to watch etc.

That is my hometown and I miss it. One day I will definitely go back to see it all again. I am sure Spiderman was there somewhere you just did not catch a glimpse of him. I always watch TV shows and movies filmed in NYC so I can see my city.

@RasmaSandra I remember my first trip to NYC sitting in a bar listening to 2 people talking about how they had just been to see Cher and Lady Gaga preform together in an impromptu concert just because they both happened to be in NY at the same time and thought it would be a fun idea. I remember thinking this would only happen in NY. :D

Must have been sad to leave. I have also been to Florida, but only to Orlando which was interesting. Maybe Spiderman was out with Superman having drinks the week I was in NYC?

I certainly remember Seinfeld. So many shows would have catchy theme songs I would often want to listen to the songs.

@CoachME On your list: Welcome Back Cotter and The Odd Couple. The others were shot in NYC. There were others like NYPD Blue filmed on the streets of LA.
