Hello everyone :) I am finally back in the swing of things. Laundry is in and I am writing to all of you:) 8 days of no smoking, can you believe it I did it.?Well lets hold off on me saying I did it!! I only say hold off on it because it's only been 8 days. I will say I did it when I am writing a post next March to say I am still smoke free. I have been sick with a bad chest infection , started out as a little cold and bang within a day or two I was super sick. I am still not quite right and on antibiotics but at least I can finally get to my lap top and actually write. I haven't been sick in so long I even got my flu shot so I was really surprised to be sitting in the clinic last week. Tell me how hard it was for you to quit smoking? And what sort of things did you do to help you quit? Very tough for me for some stupid reason, but glad I have 8 days free :)

I never smoke, a complete non-smoker. A relative of mine was a chain Pipe smoker, but later he changed and quit smoking; I never tried to ask, but I understand, it was his heart which was determined to become a pious man, and this made him quit any bad habit he have.

I quit smoking 40+ years ago. For the first couple of weeks I avoided places where people were actively smoking. That first winter I seemed to have a lot of chest colds....as my body got rid of the toxins. Since then, I rarely get sick.

Congratulations I know the struggle. I used to be a heavy smoker and quit for 2 1/2 years. I then started again and have quit again in January though slipped a few times and was using the vape up until a few weeks ago. The cravings are still there as I actually enjoyed smoking especially socially so yeah I understand how hard it is. Keep it up 21-40 days to kick a habit :)

I quit smoking in 1981. I'm not sure how I did it but I'm glad I did. It's so nice being a nonsmoker. Are you feeling a lot better now?
