I only ask that because reading thru some posts on mylot it seems obvious that to a great number of members and posters that English is a foreign language. Maybe I'm getting old, but hey dont post some rubbishy text speak when replying to a post WRITE IN ENGLISH. Recent discussions have had things like " wud lik to... " hey ???? ENGLISH PLEASE and "Well what you like to eat as a daily purpose food " WHAT ??? This site will die if gibberish is continually posted in the vain search for the odd .01c or two

Yes, I speak English very well. I agree with you, but, I don't think that they can control it, as long as this site is open for everyone.

English ENGLISH, or American ENGLISH is all fine by me. I have a number of American friends and we understand each other perfectly, but then we are all adults. I know there are a few phrases that we use over here that dont 'translate' very well over the other side of the atlantic, but hey at least we can still communicate. And isn't 'aboot', Canadian ???? LOL

I completly agree.. Im pretty sure it's the promise of money, brings out the best and worst of some.. I have seen some posts, that are so poorly written that I can hardly stand to read them.. becuase I cant tell what the hell they are talking about.

And if you cant tell what those posts are about then you are going to ignore them, thus meaning that the original poster will go unrewarded for their sparse efforts. I'm sure its the thought that a reply, a response and even starting a discussion is supposedly going to reward someone in someway, but honestly none of us really know how we earn money off this site. And really the time spent in earning $10 would be better spent in many more lucrative money making enterprises if we thought about it. So maybe its the 'thought process' in the posts that are to blame, because in many one line post NO THOUGHT took place.

definitely, but regarding to those discussions that use example "wud lik to", it's the easy and undestandable words now, it doesnt mean they cant speak english well !! it's only the trend now :D

Yes, I can. There are many people on here from other countries, hence the nonsensical posts. Its just something you have to deal with.

Most people here speak computer/messenger slang. English is/was second language for me, but I do not like short SMS slang.
