36-hour blackout

Approximately at 4:30 on the afternoon of Thursday 7 there was a blackout in Venezuela that lasted until about 4:30 am on today March 9. In other words, we Venezuelans suffer the lack of current for around 36 hours. That dramatic interruption of electrical power absent me from myLot the last hours for more than a day. Has your country, or your state or city, had a blackout of this magnitude in recent times?

Oh! Very well!! That's because they have an efficient system. I'm glad to hear that.

@karibe what about there, do you always experience that because of the conflict?

@Janet357 The electrical system has problems and that produces short and constant blackouts. But this time it was due to something much more serious, apparently because it damaged a hydroelectric system turbine, which resulted in another 58-hour cut. They just returned the flow, which means they fixed it.

After this publication, seven hours after loading it, there was another cut that lasted until a couple of hours ago. The problem was caused by the damage to one of the turbines in the Simón Bolivar Hydroelectric Power Plant also called Represa de Guri

@amitkokiladitya The situation is very dramatic due to the problem of communications, you know, the phones are downloaded, there is no internet or television, the trade is difficult and something very important is that the conservation of refrigerated food is put at risk. There are some people who have small fuel plants that generate electricity, but not all of them. In my house we have a freezer that supports freezing for several days without power, this helped us, but many people who do not have these resources suffer a lot.

After this publication, seven hours later another blackout happened that lasted 58 more hours until two or three hours ago. I am glad that the problem in your country has also been solved.

Ah! OK yes. After this cut, seven hours after my publication, there was another one that lasted until a couple of hours ago, that is, we had 58 more hours without electric power. We are well despite the fact that many people had material losses,

That's nonsense compared to what the Venezuelans suffered again: 58 more hours without electric power.

@karibe I live in a village and when a storm happens, they usually arrange the city first, so we are waiting longer in the village to bring us electricity.

Why? What was happening to make the blackouts happen?
