Do You Like Yourself... Even a Little??

Chances are that you like your friends a lot better than yourself... and if they do something wrong , you are the first one to jump in and try to make them feel better! I don't know why it is, but when you mess up... you have no sympathy for yourself. Absolutely none. I'm guilty too and I'm trying to understand!! And it's one of the hardest things I have every done. Does any of this sound familiar?? I want you to give yourself a hug because you are doing the best that you can!! I'm giving you a hug too because I know how it feels!!
Dr Kristin Neff shows how we can be happier - and better placed to help others - by learning to be kind and compassionate to ourselves. This talk was filmed ...

I feel like I like myself. Sometimes, if I make a poor decision, I do beat myself up a bit. I think that's only fair though, and I do let it go after a bit. I think it's good to recognize when I blow it, and to feel bad about it, so I will try to avoid that bad feeling in the future.

I used to feel that way but not anymore. God's love has made me realize just how much value I have and has made me love me too. =) Jesus paid the highest price He could have paid for us, we must have been pretty darn special to Heaven for that price to be paid!! So, just know that God chose YOU and all of His children and if you love with Christ's love you will learn to love yourself as well!

This is true, I tend not to have sympathy for myself when I make mistakes, that is very bad.

Nothing of this sounds familiar. In fact, I find your assumption that you speak for the majority of people rather odd. Why should I like my friends more than myself?

1st. Yourself 2nd. The others. That's the right order.
