I noticed my jug of white vinegar was looking more like apple cider vinegar, so I picked it up to have a better look. There was some black inside at the liquid level. I took the top off and saw it was full of white fuzzies...
Vinegar is used as a preservative, among other things. How could it not preserve itself?

Its been contaminated. Vinegar does not spoil.

What exactly were the fuzzies? Perhaps the vinegar's fermentation is not yet complete.

I had never heard of vinegar going bad like that..strange.
Wonder if it got contaminated somehow.

I have made vinegar from scratch and even at home with a jug from Walmart. I find if the kids not on tight and the air gets at it. Example jar of pickles is closed and that popping sound realizing
