When it is quiet do you enjoy it or long for a change?

It has been quiet around my neighborhood. That same calm exists in my life right now. It could be due to the time of year. I appreciate a temporary step back from busy. The summer brings more things for people to do. As it is now I'm enjoying the peaceful lull. It is easy however to begin to feel a little anxious for more things to do. Of course keeping busy is always possible anytime but what keeps you busy isn't always what you have in mind if you know what I mean.

I love when I have quiet and that is not often so when I have it I enjoy it a lot.

It is not always quiet. Here someone has a party in the summer. A party party or a few that like to talk loud.

I have a neighbor right above me that causes us so much trouble so when he is gone and most everyone else is not here then it is so nice and peaceful.

@Hannihar It happens. A neighbor can steal our peace and quiet. I try to be understanding to a point. There are limits to what everyone can do and need to respect the other person. I like summer but it does get noisy at times.

@mynameiskate I feel lonely in a quiet place, I don't like a deafening silence. I am an oldmaid, maybe that is the reason lol.

@florelway I might have too many squeaky wheels going round in my head to begin with. ha ha. I like to keep busy sometimes then sit down and take a break but not for long till back up again. You call yourself an oldmaid. :)

You made me laugh because my neighbors are from the Philippines and they like to party with loud music on but not that often so I'm okay with it. Why do you like it not quiet if I might ask. I know one woman told me she could hear the wind if it was too quiet and it was creepy at night.

It's not so easy when you live next door to someone having problems like that. You can't really say too much to them. Shouters.

@weevee18 Sorry thank you for asking. I meant when things are busy and active we tend to get hyperactive meaning like a spring. It calms me down when there is peace and quiet. That's all.

Where I live has a fairly quiet street for the most part. I know people like activity something to watch perhaps? Those that live downtown or on busy streets like noisy I think but I am like you, quiet settles my mind.

It wouldn't be quiet come summer time but today it seems like everyone is inside.
