There are two kinds of pride for me. They are pride because they are proud and there are those that are simply prideful,

Yes, there are people like that indeed. They are so proud that even of they can be perceived as needing help, they won't take your help.
If iw were on their shoes, i would accept the help. It wasn't a solicited one, so why be prideful.

It depends. If they have evidence to be proud about their achievements-- such as million $ success and they affect other people, including me, to be inspired by. I would investigate their secret why they are successful (not necessarily with their wealth, but their richness in their wisdom and integrity.) Usually, they are the ones who do not flaunt their money and assets.
I am shy to accept offer of help. Because I can do them myself. Except when I need masculne help to lift things and mow my lawn.

Their stories are different. Prideful person no.1- her married life is in trouble, but she doesnt like to seek help because she doesnt like people to think her married life is messy. She was a magna cumlaude graduate of psychology but she cannot deal with her husband. She wants everyone to think, she has a perfect life.
Prideful person no.2. He thinks everything is possible for him when his capability is so limited. Because he isnt smart at all.

I have met a few proud people myself. I just stay from them.
