@erictsuma Interesting and good question! I feel like it depends on which career we are talking about. Some jobs require hard work, some require you to use your smart mind more than your hands and some jobs require both.
I don't really feel one is better than the other. Just as long as someone knows what they are doing and cares about doing a great job, then it's good to use whatever abilities you possess.

This is a superficial question. You need to define what the term 'better' means when you talk about people. You also have to explain what 'success' means for you.
Logically, there is no general answer to such a question. Too much depends on the people's characters and the circumstances they are in.
