So today I start my day with posting a discussion and that is very rare of me. I usually attend to notifications or response to few discussions here before I post my own. In fact many a days I do not post any discussion of my own.
But this simple idea just popped up and before it gets evaporated or lost I wanted to post it here. Well, many of my ideas of post keep getting lost without being mentioned.
I have my alarm set for 1'o clock and it is 10:20 AM here. So I have another two and half hours to be online. I am planning to visit some other sites today which I have not done for quite some time now.
Also there are few survey invitations which have to be attended and if I qualify all the three, I might make something decent in an hour. So if I qualify them, I might have less than a hour to be here.
So today I thought of exploring MyLot in a different way. There are so many users but I hardly get to interact with a handful ones. I found that I have more followers in numbers than the ones I am following. And it is not always the fact that those I am following are actually following me back or vice versa.
So today I am going to follow all those who follow me and also I will try to follow more and more while reading their discussions and responding to them. I want to have more in my interaction group. So whatever time I spend here will be spent in attending to notification and checking that all of those who have sent me notifications today are followed by me here.
I might be less active online for next couple of days due to festival of color, Holi. But still I will peep in and try to follow more and more.
So many would get a notification about me following them and this will continue for rest few days. And it's your choice to follow me back..

Those of us who follow us should ideally be followed back. However, many who follow us remain inactive or occasionally appear on mylot and they either do not write new discussions or write very few.
In that case, I think that there is no use 'following' such inactive users. I only follow back a user if s/he writes interesting discussions and believes in interaction.
For the sake of record we have already been following each other for quite some time past.

@arunima25 It is understandable that you cannot be here all the time. Yes, if you want to follow those, who have been following you, there is no harm in it.

Yes we are following each other. I will cal myself periodically active and then going to hibernation for some time. I just wanted to follow some more to get to know few more people here. Moreover, I have not obliged by following all those who follow me. So I am going to do that now.

@dpk262006 I have been doing that. Having more people in loop is always good for these kind of sites. Few more have followed me in last few days and that has increased the number of responses on my posts.

Yes the festival is already arrived for many. Due to getting wet our office declared 2 days holidays though one is unofficially. So I too won'e be here for two days. At home I have to care many things so I may not get time for mylotting.

@arunima25 Thank you so much. Since it is Holi I don't know how people celebrate on this new area. (we shifted home in January this year). I don't like to play with colours. Let me wait and see

@Sreekala I grew up in Delhi and enjoyed the festival in those years. Now even a thought of it dreads me. I like the well controlled disciplined celebration in our apartment. I remember girls could not go to colleges for a few days due to this festival with all hooliganism and balloon bursting. I even got badly hurt by balloons when I was in school. It hit me so hard on neck and my skin peeled off..

Yes having a lot of discussions there might be leaving you with no time. But then you have a lot of people to interact with and some or the other will always be active there. Also if they follow you back, you are going to get more responses with some time of posting your new discussion.

Even I realized that more were following me but I followed few and so I thought of doing this. I never gave it a thought earlier. So now if I feel that we had good number of interactions in the past, I am going to follow that person.
