Today is Sunday 24 March 2019. I am going through various moods and thoughts and one is a poem that occurred to my mind :
The silhouette of the lonely bencher in the park
As the lights fade.
The evening turns to dusk.
The shadows give way to the darkness and the dark sky
The man on the bench sits all alone, save for a few folks here and there
Lost in the thoughts of his loneliness
Of where he failed or what went wrong
Of being so different from the world around him
He pays no heed to his silhouette right besides him
As he has been conditioned from his childhood not to look at shadows too much
Yet his mind and sight moves to watch the silhouette
That does gives a fright to him
Of being something like out of the world
Yet then the man looks at the sky and the moon
and a handful of watchful stars
and his gaze at them makes him think
That after all I am not alone
I am not the only forlorn and lonely one
Because there is the sky and beyond to give me company
And a strength of the solitude enters his veins
To make him fresh again
And readies him to face the challenges of the next day again.
I hope you might like it !

@Sheali no I have attempted a few more. This might have been third or fourth attempt, but now I would seriously submit it to a proper place.

Very nice poem. We can always find something around us to keep us company. Whether it be the company of nature or just our passing thoughts and observations. The quiet reflection of solitude on a park bench comforts us, entertains us, it is not loneliness but pleasant.

@dgobucks226 often the solitude in a park helps us if we are going through some tough time, or if we start feeling philosophical about our live(s).
