Time Of The Year I Am Stupid

Usually on the first of the month I am in and out of the rental property But not this time. Each tenant is paying a different day, according to their pay period, I don`t mind as long as they pay. One paid today. So while I was in town, I will not waste a whole day, I went to work at the old home place. Tony took a nap on the front porch in the wicker couch and I went downstairs, I painted the one wall a second coat and began to fill the trash can again. When I had one section clear I moved a couple pieces of lumber, on net to the last piece I fell. I was walking backward as I lifted the heavy 2 x 6 over a tub, I fell backward over an old empty tool box and landed on my rump but not in the cement floor, instead on top of another piece of lumber. I was not hurt so I continued working. When I got home I took the dogs out to walk, and Tony went walking, but I actually did one lap, 4 blocks, as a fast jog. Now that I am fully resting, sitting, my leg hurts, right where the tool box came to on the back of my leg, same leg that I injured my ankle last year. There ya go! My stupid springtime fall. I will survive and go back to work tomorrow. Do you have a time of the year when you fall more than any other time?

Winter and ice are mean to me. That's when I get beat up most often. I hope you will not feel too bruised tomorrow.

Did you notice if you got a bruise on your leg from the fall? Sometimes the bruising, or even the associated swelling, can cause pain. I hope you feel better, your clutzy move sounds like something I would do! haha

Ouch! I hope it doesn't hurt more tomorrow. I can fall more in January and February due to ice on the ground. One time I slipped and broke my leg and ankle having to have two surgeries and be casts for seven months then a cam boot for six more. I've had a fear of breaking my hip so I'm trying to be extra careful.

I hope your leg feels better soon. No, I don't have a time of year when I'm more clumsy. I just am extra careful when there's snow or ice on the ground.

I am so sorry, at least you did not hurt yourself badly. I also fall during Spring, when I start working hard in the garden, I fall on my butt when I pull roots usually.

@andriaperry The cats sooner or later will make me fall from the stairs, they run to join me and they are always on my feet.

The other day one of the dogs just stopped while walking, I did the step over stumble and gather myself, that was a close one.

@andriaperry That is what usually gets me. Or tripping on something hid by snow.

Kind of hard when you are holding a 20 pound 12 foot long piece of lumber.

I have been averaging a once monthly fall since January 2. I have not had my April fall yet, but I did whack my left shin on the trailer hitch on the van one day as I got out to go to work. Teach me to go around the back of the van.

Sounds really good that the lumber cushioned your fall. Not that lumber is very cushioned but better then landing on cement and possibly breaking your tail bone or something.
