Metal detecting

A member off my family is mad into Gold Panning and metal detecting. Hes gone off for a weekend with his club this weekend and hopefully he gets a hit and finds some hidden treasure. He did have one big find a few years ago but other than that its mostly rubbish he finds. Have you or anyone you know ever found anything valuable.

I did it for fun, but came up with zilch. I think it's great that he had a big find a few years ago. Hope he has a hit this weekend! Does his club do it in Ireland I never find anything.

Yes but they are gone to the UK to trawl part of the River Thames in London that hasn't been done before so it will be interesting to see if any of them find anything.

That would be so much fun to do. My mom's friend does that and he's fixing to head to East Tennessee to look for gold and I hope it all goes well.

Mom was into that sort of thing but all she ever found was fools gold. But she had fun and to her that was worth the try.

My family finds lots of valuables. Oh too many to name. I will find some tomorrow. A few cents is of value to me!

We have tried it before but I think my detector was rubbish. I like it though but have never found anything. One day I will invest in a better brand. There is a lot of space in South Africa that has not been looked at like battle fields, beaches, holiday resorts etc.
