Which type of archery bow is more fun to use?

April 9, 2019 1:51pm CST
I'm into archery and always feel torn between using fancy, high tech bows and traditional old fashioned bows. They each have their own pros and cons. I try not to use the highest level of tech even with fancier bows, though, because I enjoy it being a challenge. Any archers have an opinion?

I found that I enjoyed a traditional bow more than a compound myself. But if I remember correctly you can't get the same distance. Its been a long, long time since I picked up either type of bow though.

I would not know one bow from another.

I've never used a bow and arrow, but I've always thought it was a cool skill. maybe someday I'll have a chance to try it :) also, welcome to mylot!

I've only shoot an arrow once and it wasn't much of a bow but I've always wanted to try it using better equipment. One thing I want is not to get hurt or bite me in anyway so that it isn't enjoyable. I've heard if you don't get it just right you can feel it. Therefore I would go with high tech crossbow?
