A lot of people like to date online, but some people do not or hate dating online because they feel they cannot exactly know real character or behavior of the partner before marriage which can bring a lot of problems after the marriage,
Do you like dating online? if yes why? and if no why?

you are right , we must be really carefully by making a research before joining any dating website.

I met my husband online and we have been married for almost 10 years. Before I met my husband I dated other men I met online and those dates weren't a success. I knew right away that I didn't want to meet them again.
You meet many different kinds of people on online dating sites, there are romance scammers, there are people who lie about important things etc. It is possible to find love online, but it is important to be careful.

@wunnam Yes, it is important to be careful. One of my friends invited a stranger for coffee in her home. She had met him on a dating site. Nothing bad happened, but I think it is risky to invite a stranger into to your home. I would choose to meet at a public place.

I do not date online. Someone hiding behind a laptop or phone can pretend to be someone that they are not. Some steal photos of people and pretend that it is their photo. Some catfish which is to strike up a relationship with someone and then start asking for money. When the victim runs out of money, the catfisher disappears.
