The colors you have picked sound pretty. When I got married my flowers were white roses and Texas bluebonnets.. I will take a picture of them and show tomorrow.. Have you thought about using all roses?? How about Tiger lillies?? If I think of anything else I'll let you know.. I love working with flowers.. (fake flowers)

Wow i never thought of all roses. I do know that I want to be the only one holding white ones though. I thought I'd make my bouqet all white and use color for my bridesmaid bouqets. Tiger lilies are pretty but arent they orange? lol. I really apprecate the help. i love flowers but i never know what goes best together.

white iris - white iris
I like the gardenia and magnolias idea....very unique. I used white and lavender irises with white roses.

The iris is pretty in your picture. I think they might be hard to find in october. I thought lilies like the exotic looking ones but i hear theyre difficult to find. Do you think the gardenias and magnolias would match with the roses?

I didn't have a hard time finding irises for last september, but it also depends on where you live and what kind of flower shops you have in your area. I think the gardenias and magnolias woudl be beautiful with the roses. You can always choose to have your flowers dyed to match your colors if you can't find the color in a flower you like.

I never even thought about having them dyed either. thats a great idea. I live in Virginia so i'm not sure how easy it would be to get certain flowers. is there some way or finding out what flowers would be most accessible?

How formal will the wedding be? This could be a big factor in your decsion. Cost is another issue to deal with. You could ommit other flowers and add in ribbon, cloth, pearls, crystals, anything blue. Have a beautiful wonderful wedding.

The wedding itself i'm thinking is going to be more on the formal side. As for the decorating aspect of it I would like to include more candles in the decorations so I dont think the floral cost will end up being as much. I would love to include things like the pearls and crystals

It depends on what your budget is. Orchids can be bred in a variety of colors. Baby carnations go well with roses and smell wonderful.

hmmm orchids would be pretty too. they'd look nice with an oriental theme dont you think. i might consider a theme like that so orchids would work great for that

Tiger lillies would be gorgeous. I agree with fake flower. I used fake ones for my bouquets so we could keep them all.
