It never ends...

Hi friends. Today I would like to chat with you about how chores and work never end.
Most people out there have a daily job of 8 hours per day and I am curious to see how they are managing their time. To me it seems that I never have time for myself even though I have no children and I am not married.
I mean, I go 8 hours to work then there is the time from home to the working place which is about 1 and a half hours and then there is the stuff named chores when I get home. They seem to never end. It seems that I have no more time for myself.
Let me give you a practical example of a daily routine: I leave home for work at about 07:45 in the morning and I am back in my home at about 17:30 in the afternoon. But then there comes the part where I need to cook some food to eat. But in order to be able to cook the food that I want to eat I must first need to go to the store to buy the stuff that is needed. Then I return home and cook some food, eat it, wash the plates and forks and spoons and all of a sudden the hour 23:00 has arrived and all my day is GONE in an instance. I personally find this to be extremely frustrating. No matter how much I try, I never have enough time to do what I like.
How do you people manage your daily time? Are you satisfied with the time that you get to spend on yourself doing what you like, hobbies and stuff?
PS: Is cooking also considered to be a chore?

yes. I have done that but I can't keep it in the fridge more than two days. Whatever I cook, I must consume it in maximum two days even if it stays in the fridge because it does not taste the same as when it is just cooked.

@Cristi_Ichim Have you got a freezer? You could keep the food there. I don't think that the taste becomes bad. You can prepare goulash and when you want to eat from it a second time, you only have to boil potatoes and warm red cabbage which you buy in a glass or a tin.

@MALUSE I do have a freezer and I do sometimes keep some things inside. I will try to make a bigger amount of food and eat from it for a longer period of time.
