Today I want to share about the schedule of my college for completing my graduation.I don't know how I and my friends manage to still study accepting the same schedule. The college starts exactly at 9.00am for which I have to leave from home at 7.30am, since I have to travel 20 kilometre to reach my college. In the morning session we will have 4 classes each one of 55mins with a tea break of 15mins between 2 classes. The morning session ends at 12.55pm.And than a lunch break till 1.45pm. And in the afternoon session we will have 3 continuous classes each of 55mins till 4.30pm without a break. I wanted to know if anyone had the same schedule for their studies, just to make sure whether me and my friends are the only ones following this schedule. I watched many of the Hollywood movies and series. And wish to have same kind of scenario in my college too. Where we are allowed to do all the cultural activities and sports together with studies. Our college gives us the opportunity to have cultural activities and sports. But we are permitted to practice for that only after 4.30pm or before 9.00am. Sometimes I feel like they don't even understand our feelings, when they give homework in each of the classes they take in a day, which we could not complete for the next day.

Aren't there any student representatives who can discuss the schedule with the authorities? Complaining privately or here doesn't help. You can also make this public via the media. Invite a newspaper reporter or a local radio or TV station, etc., and inform them. They can interview the students and the authorities.

I thought of doing that and tried that not through media but meating my advisor personally but it did not work. Thought of media but no support from other students because, i think they are afraid.

@MALUSE I will complete my graduation next year. But feeling sad for the upcoming batch, My juniors. Can't imagine how they would manage the same schedule for 4years.Since most of them like entertainment more than studies like me.who are far different from the book nerds of my batch.

Nowadays, higher education is full of assignments and very less real value education. I come with one B.tech students they have completed their graduation but the their syllabus course become outdated and hardly being applied so in order to upgrade themselve they re.join course work in other skill training institutes run by private institution. Its' shame thats education sometimes does not focus on career oriented. On the otherhand in clutural activities and sports, its depends on Institution to institution I think. they lack in encouragements

I fully understand. I had the same experience during college. Our school was so much focused on the academics that when you want to participate in, let’s say, sports then you have to choose whether you’ll allot more of your time on the academics or the sport. You will not be excused or given special examinations just because you are participating in sports. Though these days, I think the school has been more lenient.

I heard that college life is very entertaining than school life. But after reading your discussion I am very clear that some colleges have tight schedule too. Thats not fair. The professor should understand that some relaxation should be there between this too much pressure. You all have the right to talk to the principal about this problem.
