A train delay last night

I was returning home last night. I had a 3 hour cab journey which was supposed to be followed by an overnight 6 hour train journey. Unfortunately, just as I reached the station I checked and found that the train was delayed by 2 hours. By the time I reached my home station it was running 4 hours late. Although I managed to sleep on the train, I had to wake up often and check my Google maps to see where I was. Have you ever had a delayed train journey?

That has never happened to me, but then again I've never done any train travel here except for entertainment while on vacation which is usually sight-seeing.

I have travelled a lot in my life and yes I have experienced delays - air,road and train.

A particular incident that I remember is that I missed a connecting train as the train in which I was travelling delayed a lot.

I have never had a connecting train. I've sometimes done flight and train and was always nervous and so made sure I have at least 6 hours gap between them.
