Why do our children's cries go unheard???

I have become so livid and angry at the "Department of Children & Family Services" and our justice system, that can walk out of a home, after repeated cries for help from the local schools, medical staff, community, and even law enforcement...concerning the repeated (sometimes severe) abuse, starvation, and neglect of children... Yet... These social case managers/workers can still leave these kids in their abusive environments, siting that "it does not meet their criteria for removal?" Seriouslly??? A child has repeated bruses and broken bones; local law enforcement have gone into homes that are so invested with roaches, they are crawling all over the house - on top of beds, pots and pans, inside the refrigerator, inside the showers, in clothes...etc. Pet feces are everywhere, even on the clothes! No food in the house. The children have not bathed in months/years. And yet... They found that these living conditions did not meet their criteria for removal??? These children are being bruitally beaten sometimes; and worse...killed by their own parents who "supposedly" loved them... Yet again...none of the above mentioned, merits these children to be placed in safer homes, and living conditions? What is wrong with our country, and government organizations? I just recently asked God how He can stand to see this abuse day in and day out, and yet our world has not experienced another flood by His tears, from the horrific, painful experiences these children have faced, and/or are facing? He must be hurting. I know I can barely handle it myself, without feeling like my heart is going to burst out of my body, because it hurts too much to read what they are going through. I'm sorry... But I feel that these case managers/workers who visited these homes, and handled these cases...whom still walked out doing nothing...should receive the same fate that these abusive parents do, through either incarceration, and/or at least the loss of their jobs/positions. This has become an epidemic of everyday occurances. This is ludicrous!!!

i had some neighbors in tucson that were being harrassed by CPS..cause the guy's ex girlfriend didn't like their new baby..and they were good parents. long story short, they came to my complex and were asking people about them. in the meantime, the guy 3 down from me was burning and abusing his son-everybody in the place called over and over, they did nothing.i got right in their face and told them do something about THAT GUY,not the other 2.

And yet as sad and horrific as this is exactly what can a social worker do when there are no good, decent, loving homes to place these kids. If they remove these kids then what? I agree it is horrific.
