That is the same problem I am also facing in my balcony. However, we hung large bed sheets from the roof to get some relief from the Sun rays. (we are on 4th floor). So it made much difference, there is coolness inside room and this plants also got some shade. So it is good now.

@pitstop We done it from the railings of roof, tied the cloth corner with a rope then hang downward. The third floor people done the same from our balcony railings. Otherwise, you have to keep curtain by filling a rode on both wall (opposite) .

can you move some of them indoors? once they've recovered, alternate with the ones outside.

use a two pot system to self water it.
bottom pot is bigger and half full of water.the top pot needs a cotton wick to hang down into the second beneath it.

Are you watering them in the day or night? Water before the sun rises and again after it sets. This will help give them strength and also prevent burn. Be sure when you do water them you're not over-watering and that you also water their leaves.
